Looking for a hobby that’s both creative and practical? Join Center for Student Innovation’s Sewing Machine Workshop and get hands-on experience with our new BERNINA 1008 sewing machines! This beginner-friendly session, led by Assistant Professor of Costume Design Jenna Gove, is open to the entire EIU community.

This workshop introduces the set up and operation of the new sewing machines available at Booth Library: two BERNINA 1008 sewing machines. Attendees will learn general sewing skills, such as how to thread a sewing machine and how to change the machine’s needle. After learning the basics of sewing, you can reserve a sewing machine to use at the Center of Student Innovation!  

The Sewing Machine Workshop will be hosted on April 8 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Center of Student Innovation, located at the 1000 level of Booth Library. Register for this workshop through the CSI LibCal.
